A clip of rapper Fredo Bang, real name Fredrick Givens, appearing in court surfaced on Friday (July 23). The judge says, "Good morning Mr. Davis, you have a felony probation violation. It looks like there's some damage to property and use of dangerous weapons, and it says your bond is 'No bond.'"
This comes after the news that Fredo was arrested on Thursday following a raid on his Miami home. Fredo is currently out on parole after pleading guilty to illegal use of weapons and simple criminal damage to property following a 2015 shooting. He was arrested yesterday for a parole violation after guns were found inside his house and a stolen car was parked outside.
Fredo's artist Lit Yoshi was also arrested in the raid after investigators claim to have linked the rapper, whose real name is Mieyoshi Edwards, to an April 2020 shooting in Slidell, Louisiana in 2020. Lit Yoshi was already out on a $1.82 million bond and he's facing seven counts of attempted first-degree murder in Baton Rouge after investigators claim he was involved in two other shootings.
Ron Haley, the attorney representing Fredo Bang and Lit Yoshi, hopes that Fredo will be released soon, as the guns were registered to his security, and the stolen car was not his. Haley also criticized the way in which Fredo Bang was arrested, as he told The Advocate that police arrived to arrest Lit Yoshi on the new charges, then used that as an excuse to search Fredo's property.
Haley stated, "The aggressive manner in which agents entered into the home of Mr. Givens — with smoke bombs, armed with assault rifles and tactical gear — could have easily been avoided. Instead, his property was damaged, and his house was left a wreck."
