The Breonna Taylor case has found officers involved in the raid being fired as a result of the shooting that left the young Black woman dead in her home. Now, grand jurors in the case for Taylor have filed a petition with Kentucky officials against Attorney General Daniel Cameron, asking the state to impeach him.
Three grand jurors are claiming that Cameron is a liar and that he fed the media lies to present himself in a more positive light despite the backlash against the situation. The three grand jurors say Cameron never mentioned homicide charges against the officers involved in the raid on Breonna Taylor’s home, despite Cameron saying he put possible charges on the table for the grand jury.
The petition against Cameron says that grand jurors were used as “a shield to deflect accountability and responsibility” by the Attorney General. Stay tuned for more updates.
