The anticipation for Bobby Shmurda's release from prison has heightened since Rowdy Rebel was released at the end of 2020. While Bobby Shmurda was previously denied parole and expected to complete the rest of his sentence behind bars, a new development offers a more optimistic outcome for the rapper's release.

According to reports, the 26-year-old has been granted a conditional release from prison scheduled for February 23, 2021. If released, Bobby Shmurda will be under parole-like supervision until the maximum prison sentence is reached, which is December 11, 2021 in his case.

Bobby Shmurda was originally tried on gang conspiracy, drug, and gun charges before pleading guilty and receiving a seven-year sentence. He was denied parole in September 2020 after multiple violations. Bobby reportedly racked up a total of ten violations while incarcerated which include drug possession, weapons possession, and fighting, among other offenses.
