Earlier this year, ESPN’s ‘The Last Dance’ documentary that focused on Michael Jordan’s last season on the Chicago Bulls became a widely-watched phenomenon across the world. However, Scottie Pippen recently revealed that he confronted Michael Jordan over his portrayal in the docu-series.

While speaking to The Guardian, Pippen said he pulled up on Jordan and told him about his thoughts on the portrayal of him in the series. Pippen said, “I don’t think it was that accurate in terms of really defining what was accomplished in one of the greatest eras of basketball, but also by two of the greatest players – and one could even put that aside and say the greatest team of all time.”

He continued, saying, “I didn’t think those things stood out in the documentary. I thought it was more about Michael trying to uplift himself and to be glorified. I think it also backfired to some degree in that people got a chance to see what kind of personality Michael had. [...] “I told him I wasn’t too pleased with it. He accepted it. He said, ‘hey, you’re right.’ That was pretty much it.” Although there is no noted issue between Jordan and Pippen, earlier in the year, Michael Jordan’s agent said Pippen was jealous of Jordan and lacked heart.
