Joe Biden revealed that he's chosen California Senator Kamala Harris as his vice-presidential running mate.
In an email to supporters, Biden wrote, "You make a lot of important decisions as president. But the first one is who you select to be your Vice President. I’ve decided that Kamala Harris is the best person to help me take this fight to Donald Trump and Mike Pence and then to lead this nation starting in January 2021."
Harris is the only Black woman on the Senate, and she serves on the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, the Select Committee on Intelligence, the Committee on the Judiciary, and the Committee on the Budget.
