As a result of the racial climate in America, many corporations are taking the opportunity to show that they're on the right side of history. For example, NASCAR issued a statement on Wednesday banning the use of the Confederate flag at their races.

"The presence of the Confederate flag at NASCAR events runs contrary to our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all fans, our competitors and our industry," says the statement. "Bringing people together around a love for racing and the community that it creates is what makes our fans and sport special. The display of the confederate flag will be prohibited from all NASCAR events and properties."

The move comes on the heels of Bubba Wallace, the first full-time black NASCAR driver since 1971, implored them to do so. "No one should feel uncomfortable when they come to a NASCAR race," says Wallace. "So it starts with Confederate flags. Get them out of here."

Speaking of Bubba Wallace, the 26-year-old driver unveiled his Black Lives Matter themed racecar which got the praise of LeBron James and scores of other black professional athletes.
