Following the announcement that Rihanna had broken up with her boyfriend of 3 years, Hassan Jameel, she was seen out with her former flame Drake at Yam's Day in Brooklyn. A quick clip showed the two stars standing in the same area, but not interacting.
This comes after Rihanna said she didn't have a friendship with Drake during an interview with Vogue in 2018. While speaking about Drake presenting her with the Video Vanguard award at the 2016 MTV Music Video Awards, Rihanna stated, "Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part. I don’t like too many compliments; I don’t like to be put on blast. We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is." Drake unfollowed Rihanna on social media after the interview was published.
