According to ESPN, Major League Baseball and the player's association have agreed to terms on opioid and cocaine testing, while removing marijuana from the list of drugs of abuse. The league will treat marijuana as it does alcohol, and suspensions will be dropped associated with positive testing for marijuana.

The new agreement comes in wake of the passing of Angels' pitcher Tyler Skaggs whose toxicology report showed that opioids were present in his body at the time of death.
