Update 08/13/2019 12:56am:

The Rock and Tyrese have had a familial feud ever since signed on to do Hobbes and Shaw. The film recently premiered in theaters but didn't perform as well as the Fast & Furious installments dating back to Tokyo Drift. Tyrese hopped on IG after opening weekend levied a further critique of The Rock and his new film.

This prompted the former WWE superstar to tweet out on Monday, "Thank you everyone for makin’ this an exciting first week of box office for our lil’ spin-off @hobbsandshaw. #1 movie and $333M worldwide, ain’t too shabby. And remember, the best way to shut the mouth of a is to flex with success and a smile."

Tyrese took to Instagram to react to Hobbes and Shaw having the lowest box office opening weekend of any Fast & Furious spinoff since Tokyo Drift. This comes after Tyrese criticized The Rock after was delayed until 2021 due to the release of Hobbes and Shaw

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Tyrese wrote, "I have to show my respects for one thing. He tried. Folks called me a hater. And attacked me for speaking out."

He continued, "Breaking up the family clearly doesn’t have the value that one would assume it does. You know what maybe just maybe The Rock and the crew will come dance with us again for #Fast10. We can all hug it out and get back to giving the true fans who have supported this franchise for 20 years WHAT they want. Not hating, I’m just pointing out the facts."
