Aubrey Trail, 52, is currently on trial for the murder of a woman who went missing after a Tinder date and was found dismembered back in 2017. Trail yelled out at one point during the court proceedings: “Bailey is innocent and I curse you all,” referring to his alleged co-conspirator Bailey Boswell, 25, who helped murder the 24-year-old woman. After Trail's outburst, he stabbed himself in the neck and fell out of the wheelchair he was sitting in.
According to Trail's attorney, his client and the woman, Sydney Loofe, had consensual sex before Trail accidentally suffocated her during an apparent sex game. Her body was found 19 days after their encounter chopped into pieces.
After initially not knowing Trail's condition, the Saline County District Judge Vicky Johnson has ordered the jury to return on Tuesday and said Trail will be handcuffed for the remainder of the trial.
