Federal agents made a big haul on Tuesday after seizing 16.5 tons of cocaine at the Philadelphia Port worth $1 billion. The seizure was the largest in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Authorities found the drugs throughout seven different containers preparing to leave Philadelphia for European countries like France and the Netherlands. The ship's crew was taken into custody and hit with federal drug trafficking charges.

About three months ago a much smaller cocaine shipment was intercepted at the Philadelphia Port worth around $38 million. However, no arrests were made during that bust.
