Although the decision doesn't appear to have anything to do with his controversial theories on sleep deprivement, it's been reported that Steve Harvey's talk show has been canceled and will stop running in June.

The syndicated show taped its final episode on Thursday (May 9), and is set to be replaced by a new talk show hosted by Kelly Clarkson, whose show was announced to the press back in September despite Harvey never hearing about it from NBC.

Harvey expressed his displeasure with being kept in the dark about his show's future back in January, saying: “I’m an honorable guy and I’m just an old school guy and I just thought that you’re supposed to talk to people and go, ‘Look, you’ve been good business for us. This is what we’re thinking of doing. Are you okay with that?’ No, you don’t just put something in the paper and say, ‘I’m gonna make this move right here’ because it’s crazy."

He then added that if "you look at the numbers on my show and it’s No. 4 in daytime television, it’s holding right there. I got a hit, so somebody’s gonna recognize that.”

Nonetheless, Harvey’s producers are now in the process of shopping the program to other networks, as fans of the comedian can still watch him on Family Feud.
