Court documents that recently surfaced noted that Tekashi might have caught a break in his ongoing criminal case, as the rapper was allowed to have his former attorney represent him again.

A judge in New York ruled that Lance Lazarro will be able to once again be the lead attorney in the case of Tekashi, once the rapper signs off on the decision.

Previously, Lazarro was taken off the case after a judge felt there might have been a conflict of interest, as Lazarro previously represented two other people who are currently co-defendants in the case—Kifano “Shotti” Jordan and Faheem “Crippy” Walter.

The hearing where Tekashi has to tell a judge if he agrees is set to take place on March 28, 2019.
