As Cardi B continues her unprecedented run that's seemingly turned her into a global superstar overnight, the former exotic dancer turned Grammy Award-winning artist is now looking to capitalize off her success in more ways than one.

It's recently been reported that Cardi has filed legal papers with the United States Patent and Trademark Office to trademark “Okurrr," which in recent time has become her signature catchphrase. In the documents that were filed earlier in the month, it's stipulated that the catchphrase will be used for merchandising purposes, specifically for a proposed clothing line that will feature hoodies, pants, hats, leggings, T-shirts, and more. Additionally, she plans on using the catchphrase to sell paper goods such as cups and posters as well.

Furthermore, Cardi has also reportedly filed paperwork to trademark the catchphrase with an alternate spelling, this time with only two R's to avoid any potential competition. Meanwhile, the 26-year-old artist recently took to IG to take shots at any haters who are criticizing her business prowess, questioning why people would be mad at her for taking ownership of her brand.

“Let me tell you something, every single time I go to a cooperate meeting, these folks be like oh my God I can’t wait to hear you say it, please say Okurrr,” she said in a since-deleted IG video. “Every time I go to a TV show they said ‘hey can you teach me how to say Okurrr.’ Every time I do a commercial they say ‘hey can you finish it off with Okurrr.'"

Cardi continued to justify her decision by saying: “B**** you think I'm not going to profit off this s***? “White folks do it all the m*****f****** time. So you’re going to be mad at me because I want to get some m*****f****** money?” She then concluded her PSA by making her position clear on the matter, by promising that while she's still here she's "going to secure all the f****** bags."

In other Cardi news, she also recently secured her first movie role for the film "Hustlers" with Jennifer Lopez, and is set to perform a series of shows this month for her residency at KAOS nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
