Antonio Brown looks determined to make this off-season as dramatic and eventful as possible, as only days after calling out his long-time quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, at LeBron James' 'shop' on HBO, he did an exclusive with ESPN to say he's willing to walk away from the game if teams can't meet his demands.
During the interview with ESPN's Jeff Darlington, the 7x Pro Bowl wide receiver said: "I don't even have to play football if I don't want. I don't even need the game. I don't need to prove nothing to anyone. If they wanna play, they going to play by my rules. If not, I don't need to play.'
From there, Darlington inferred that Brown still 'wanted the game', however, to which he replied by making the distinction that "Obviously, I want the game, but I don't need the game. It's a difference."
Later on, he emphasized that he has nothing to prove to anyone, by telling any of his critics to check his record, where he's led the league twice in yards receiving, twice in receptions, and most recently in touchdowns while cementing himself as the best receiver of this era.
"You can't lower my value," Brown said in regards to knowing his worth, "I come from somewhere, I stand for something, I showed you and if someone don't believe me, perfect, don't call me, I'm perfectly fine walking away healthy."
All the same, it goes without saying that most likely every team in the NFL is interested in acquiring Brown, with the Raiders, Redskins, and Titans reportedly showing the most interest.
