According to Fox 32 news reporter Rafer Weigel, lawyer Michael Monico is no longer representing Jussie Smollett after a disagreement occurred about the decision to release a statement this past Saturday night. Weigel said Smollett is now being represented by Todd Pugh and Victor Henderson, two attorneys from Chicago.
Along with that, representatives for Jussie Smollett said Michael Monico was never repping the actor from the beginning. However, Monico spoke to Fox News and reportedly told them he was representing Smollett, but now that is no longer the case.
Since then, CBS reporter Charlie De Mar noted that Smollett’s management team acquired the service of Anne Kavanagh, whose firm offers crisis management.
