Previously, Tekashi 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to nine federal crimes which included guns and drugs. Along with that, he named the shooter responsible for the Chief Keef incident. Now, reports surfaced saying prosecutors in the federal case will recommend no jail time for the rapper in exchange for his cooperation.

If the rapper cooperates before a Grand Jury, the US Attorney’s office agreed “not to prosecute the defendant for the crimes set forth in Counts One through Nine…. as well as additional crimes that the defendant has told the government about.” Ultimately, he could be free as soon as January 2020.

The plea deal also said, “Should the defendant successfully cooperate, the government agrees that it will file at the time of sentencing a motion.. for a sentence below any mandatory minimum.”
