Lil Wayne has had somewhat of a resurgence in 2018, releasing the long-anticipated Carter V prior to embarking on his "I Ain't S*** Without You" Tour.

The tour's theme revolved around the global superstar performing in smaller, more intimate settings, which perhaps helped set the stage for Wayne to share a very thoughtful message for two of his contemporaries.

"There's people like Jay Z, that helped me when I was really, really, really down," Wayne said during the tour's last stop in Chicago, "There are people like Swizz Beatz, that's going to send me every beat he makes, and want me to rap on every single one."

When referring back to the other 'Mr. Carter', Wayne revealed how "that man even helped me with my taxes... these are real friends y'all," while it should also be noted that Tidal sponsored and provided streaming for his latest tour.
