As the 'King of R&B' debate continues on, it appears as if the R&B legends have collectively decided to give Jacquees some much-needed perspective.
Recently TMZ caught up with Bobby Brown, who said anyone who wants that title needs to go through him first. Challenging all competitors to a battle live on stage, Brown did concede that some of today's R&B stars are worthy contenders.
"Chris Brown's a bad boy, Usher's a bad boy... I think if anyone deserves the title it would be one of them. Or you still got R.Kelly," Brown said while admitting that he should probably relinquish the title to an artist who truly deserves it.
"What about Jacquees," the reporter asked the former New Edition star, who quickly replied: "No, I don't even know his music," going as far as to say he couldn't even name one of his songs.
