Polarizing artist Azealia Banks has been involved in numerous controversies over the years, mostly involving very influential celebrities with seemingly little affiliation to hip-hop. Now after her well-publicized disputes with actor Russell Crowe and tech billionaire Elon Musk, Banks has now been linked to a bizarre tale that involves Jack Dorsey, the current CEO of Twitter.

As the story goes, Dorsey and Banks were in talks of some kind of cross-promotion back in 2016, and Banks even went public on Twitter explaining their unusual agreement that never came to fruition.

"Jack Dorsey asked me to tweet about his cash app and in exchange he was supposed to tweet about my mixtape. he never did," Banks wrote in a tweet, followed by another interesting side note that still has people talking to this day.

"He also sent me his hair in an envelope because I was supposed to make him an amulet for protection. I’m about to hex this n****. I have 3 strands of a billionaire’s hair. I should steal his luck.” The protection was supposedly from ISIS who had threatened Dorsey and Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, earlier that year.

Sure enough, those accounts have now been substantiated by a writer from Vanity Fair, whose source confirmed that "Dorsey once sent a rapper his beard shavings to make him an amulet that would protect him from evildoers.”

Time will tell if Banks' other former claims turn out to be true as well.
