Kehlani took to social media immediately after her set to express regret to the tens of thousands of fans who weren't granted entry to the L.A. Pride Festival despite many of them having tickets to the oversold concert.

Reports of friction breaking out amongst a crowd of between 40,000 and 100,000 people began to flood social media as authorities faced off with pissed off Pride-goers on Saturday night, June 9. Word would get around about bottles and rocks being tossed at LAPD officers who showed up on Santa Monica Blvd. in riot geat.

Eventually, the streets of West Hollywood did clear, with most heeding warnings that projected from a helicopter circling the sky, for them to disperse. But before they were all gone, there were some still lingering around to receive Kehlani's message of support.

"I’m seeing all your tweets and messages. I’m sorry LA Pride reached their full capacity and aren’t letting any more people in. Y’all deserve refunds and I hope we get a chance to jam soon," the self-identified queer singer tweeted.

Perhaps her words did prove to be effective, as many of those same fans who were turned away would learn by morning time that the event's organizers would be honoring their admission for the events that ensued the following day.
