Thanks to the final match of his lucrative boxing career pulling in a $275 million payday for him, Floyd Mayweather Jr. once again tops Forbes' annual list of the 100 highest paid athletes. And thanks to that very same fight, coming in at No. 4 for 2017 was his opponent Conor McGregor - although, the way Floyd sees it, both spots belong to him.

"No. 4 - Conor is at No. 4 because of me," Floyd told TMZ when reminded about his standing heading into the weekend. "We've both done big things in 2017, so, it was great for both of us. But like I said before, I'm No. 1 and the guy that's No. 4, he's No. 4 because of me."

Mayweather made three times the amount that McGregor did for the same 36 minutes of action. The disproportionate earnings can be credited to the fact that Mayweather has been the highest drawing prizefighter in history and was gunning for an unprecedented 50-0 record with a prospective victory. But regardless of what Floyd made, his UFC star counterpart didn't do so shabby himself, bringing in well over what he's made his entire fighting career with $70 million.

When combined with endorsements Floyd banked $285 million for the year. Conor made $99 million.
