Tekashi 6ix9ine believes certain rappers must step up their game after he received a plaque commemorating his successes in music.

Taking to Instagram Today, 6ix9ine showed off his new hardware for amassing 1 billion streams and for his debut mixtape Day69 going gold.

“Ni**as be having two mixtapes out, working on their album already,” he said as he opened the packaging for his plaque. “This my first mixtape. I been out for five months and already platinum records, gold records- not even an album, I released a f**king mixtape. Look at that a billion streams.”

Tekashi 6ix9ine reiterated his views in a caption that read: “IT took OTHER ni**as 2 years with 2 mixtapes and a WHOLE album on the way Features with Drake, Travis Scott, Swaelee, XXX tentacion, Diplo etc. LMAOOOOOOOO I DID IT WITH NOTHING this shows every kid out there YOU DONT NEED TO SUCK NO INDUSTRY D**K TO BE POPPIN. TREYWAY S**T ‼️‼️‼️‼️.”

While 69 didn’t mention anyone by name, many can see this as a slam to Trippie Redd as the rapper has had features from each of the artists Tekashi listed.
