2 Chainz's bodyguard Rory Smith pleaded guilty to the harassment charge in an attack on a celebrity videographer.

Smith will also get a chance to plead to a lesser charge with one year of probation if he has no criminal record in the next couple of years.

The decision was reached on Monday in Manhattan Criminal Court, according to NYDaily News.

The incident occurred on October 27, 2017, outside NBC Studios in Midtown Manhattan, when Smith allegedly attacked photographer R.J. Capak.

Apparently, "Capak was waiting for Rose McGowan when he heard the rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was on his way as well," reports NYDaily News.

Smith punched Capak in the face, as a result of which the photographer fell and hit his head. Reportedly, he now suffers from slight dizzy spells and shoulder and neck pains.

Capak filed a lawsuit against 2 Chainz and Smith.

"It appears from the information that we have to date, Rory Smith was acting in the capacity of an employee of 2 Chainz at the time of this occurrence, and as such is liable as well as Rory Smith for the injuries sustained by Richard Capak," said Capak's attorney, Sanford Rubenstein.

The plea "demonstrates that bodyguards will be held accountable for criminal acts directed against photographers," Rubenstein added.

An order of protection is in place barring Smith from having any contact with Capak, reports the NYDaily News.
