Kanye West returned to Twitter recently. The legendary rapper has been tweeting as if his life depends on it ever since. While many of his tweets have gained praised, like his announcement of a solo album, a joint album with Kid Cudi, and a Nas album, some of his tweets have stirred controversy. 'Ye is no stranger to controversy and even tweeted "truth is my goal. Controversy is my gym. I'll do a hundred reps of controversy for a 6 pack of truth," last week before doing exactly what he said.

West took to Twitter to support Donald Trump, stating, "You don't have to agree with trump but the mob can't make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don't agree with everything anyone does. That's what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought." That tweet allegedly lost West around 9 million followers. Media sites reported that prior to that tweet West had almost 28 million followers. After the tweet, they claim his followers dropped to about 18.7 million followers.

According to The Verge, the rumor that West has lost millions of followers is false. The site got a statement from a Twitter spokesperson that read, “We can confirm that Kanye’s follower count is currently at approximately 27M followers. Any fluctuation that people might be seeing is an inconsistency and should be resolved soon.”

West's Twitter currently has 27.9 million followers.
