New York rapper Talib Kweli had to tell Australian white female rapper Iggy Azalea what's what. And this is not the first time this happened.

"Can someone tell @thenewclassic abt aborigines and the struggle of ppl of color in Australia? #butsheaintracisttho 🤔," read Talib Kweli's Instagram post on Friday, April 20.

The tweet was an explicit commentary on Iggy Azalea's new GQ Magazine feature. The hip-hop veteran essentially had to reprimand the Australian hip-hop artist over white privilege remarks, reports sohh.com.

Azalea was recently interviewed by GQ to discuss her career and background and how she got to where she is right now, potentially facing obstacles as a white woman working in the hip-hop industry.

At one point in the interview, the topic of white privilege was brought up. Azalea was quick to claim that she did not benefit from it while growing up.

"The whole privilege thing is a tough conversation," Iggy told the GQ interviewer. "I understand that in America there is institutionalized racism and there is a privilege that comes with the color of your skin. That's real. I grew up in a situation that didn't involve any privilege, and I worked really hard."

No one is questioning how hard Azalea had to work for her career. However, her general remark is an apparent insensitivity and lack of awareness toward the people of color - particularly to the suffering of the Aborigines in Australia.
