Law enforcement and the minority community have had a continuous struggle of understanding one another since the conception of the police force, and here we have yet another example of the friction between the two. In the video posted to social media, multiple patrons can be heard aggressively speaking with a group of NYPD officers.

The context of the recording appears to stem from a police officer supposedly reaching for his firearm during a dispute that probably didn't require possible deadly force. You can hear the man recording the video claim that the officer standing in the middle of his associates reached for his gun out of fear.

From there, things took a turn for the worse as the patrons challenged the cop to shoot the fair one after he removed his badge. The police officer refused and began walking away from the aggressive group.

The bald officer can be seen flinching at the cameraman which did not affect the civilian's demeanor. Afterward, a slew of insults was hurled towards the officers which included calling the Asian law enforcer "Jackie Chan," as well as a multitude of "suck my d***," and also referring to the cops as "c*cksuckas" to close out the conflict.

This might not be a good look for the citizens involved and the law officials or a positive example of our relations but, strangely, this is a step in the right direction.

No one ended up in handcuffs, no one was physically harmed or assaulted, and all parties involved were able to walk away. With that said, drop your thoughts on the New York residents vs. NYPD in the comment section below.
