Snoop Dogg is known for being open to trying new things and has reinvented himself at many junctures throughout his career. He gave fans the reggae-inspired Reincarnated album as Snoop Lion as well as the disco-funk album Bush in 2015. The latest out-of-the-box move for Snoop is a 32-track gospel album titled, Snoop Dogg Presents Bible of Love. The album has some major features from Faith Evans, Mary Mary, Charlie Wilson, and Patti LaBelle among many others.

Snoop announced that he would be putting out a gospel album last year on Beats 1 Radio. He said that the desire to create a gospel album was always there but, "I just never got around to it because I always be doing gangsta business or doing this or doing that, [...] I just felt like it’s been on my heart too long. I need to do it now."
