A report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution states Mo'Nique allegedly owes Uncle Sam $560.625.72. Records from the Department of Treasury show the comedian had a tax lien filed against her for the years 2013 and 2014 that amounted to $389,904.98. Mo'Nique was also late paying her taxes in 2015, which came to a total of $170,720.74. In December 2017, The Blast reported on the Academy Award winner's two tax liens.

Recently, Mo'Nique has been in the headlines for proposing a boycott of Netflix, based on color and gender bias. Netflix reportedly offered her $500,000 to do a comedy special. She felt like she was being lowballed, especially in comparison to some of her peers, who inked multi-million dollar deals with the streaming service.

While Mo'Nique has been mum on social media about the tax issue, she has continued to post about the Netflix deal. Mo'Niqe posted a screenshot of an email, where a director at Netflix wrote in part, "We've circled back with our team and unfortunately it appears that we are simply too far apart on the financials to be able to get a deal done."

It looks like Mo'Nique will be hitting the road soon in a play called "The Neighborhood Barbershop," which also stars Allen Payne and Reggie Ballard, also known as "Bruhman from the 5th Flo" from Martin.
