Marvel's Black Panther has exceeded all expectations earning $202 million in just three days of its 4-day Presidents Day weekend opening. The movie hailed for its majority Black cast has become the second biggest superhero opening of all time and the fifth biggest movie opening of all time. At this rate, the Ryan Coogler directed film is predicted to earn more than $235 million in 4 days.

The movie is standing as a cultural milestone, and in the wake of its success, many people have been celebrating the representation of a variety of Black roles being portrayed on the silver screen. Former first lady Michelle Obama even took to Twitter to congratulate the cast and crew involved with the film. "Congrats to the entire #blackpanther team!" Mrs. Obama wrote. "Because of you, young people will finally see superheroes that look like them on the big screen."

“I loved this movie,” Obama continued, giving the film the utmost praise. “And I know it will inspire people of all backgrounds to dig deep and find the courage to be heroes of their own stories.”

Black Panther has received an A+ CinemaScore and is the only Marvel movie to have done this besides The Avengers.
