Wedding photographer Veronica Morales asked Beyonce to buy her wedding planning business for $10 million, according to the singer's lawyer. Morales owns the trademark for "Blue Ivy," and she opposed the trademark and countered that Beyonce's holding company, BGK Trademark, buy her business.

Marvin Putnam, a representative for BGK Trademark, responded to a motion to compel discovery responses, where Morales' offer was revealed. Putnam stated, “In addition, opposer’s counsel gave a lengthy speech about how the opposition proceeding—which it initiated—should be looked upon by BGK as an opportunity for a business relationship, not an adversarial proceeding."

BGK Trademark now wants Morales and her team to turn over evidence of the sales pitch to prove that she is denying rights to the trademark to get money from Beyonce.
