The Hip-hop community is still mourning the loss of Chief Keef’s cousin and music collaborator Fredo Santana, who passed away January 20 from a seizure. Santana was loved by many and leaves behind an 8-month-old son. In the wake of his passing, many artists are posting words of encouragement and taking stands against the use of “lean.”

Karrueche Tran recently took Twitter and posted a now-deleted tweet reading. “LEAN IS WEAK AF #lame #corny #sorrynotsorry." Tran received backlash for her comments and apologized for the inappropriate tweet. DJ Mustard recently posted a video pouring a bottle of lean down the sink.

50 Cent reacted to Santana’s death by posting an image of him, commenting on his come-up and told Chief Keef to reach out to him:

"R.I.P Fredo, I liked Sosa’s s**t I don’t like when I first seen it. The shit was just raw, the beauty of hip hop is when it’s your time nothing can stop you. Fredo stood out to me. I was like, now that n***a crazy and I’m a little crazy so I watched him. When he said he looked up to me me, I wanted to work with him but I herd he passed I didn’t know what to say. To his family I send my condolence. SOSA call my phone."
