The All-Star Game player selection process may have resulted in Lebron James getting the lion's share of the Eastern Conference vote, making him one of the exhibition's two captains, but if it were solely up to the players Giannis Antetokounmpo would have been awarded the honor, and Charles Barkley thinks he knows why.

"Lebron is a great player and a great guy, but he's a drama queen," Barkley told his Inside the NBA colleagues after TNT announced the outcome.

For the past two years, the fans have enjoyed overwhelming influence over who gets invited to the game, by controlling 50 percent of the vote. The additional 50 percent is split in half, with the media overseeing 25 percent and the other quarter of the vote going towards the players being chosen by their peers.

It just so happens that Antetokounmpo bested Lebron by six player votes, which had Shaq, Kenny, Ernie, and Charles pondering what the deal was. The way Barkley sees it, a lot of guys around the league have had it with the King's attitude.

"He's passive aggressive. He got a passive-aggressive personality," said Barkley.

Sir Charles' take didn't sit well with the others. Kenny Smith said if Lebron is the best player in the world, which Barkley concedes, then he ought to get the vote. "Is he a player or not? This is basketball; it ain't got nothing to do with personalities," Shaq responded.
