George Clinton, one of the most recognizable legends of the Funk era has been a proponent of hip-hop for quite some time. Clinton has collaborated with some of hip-hop's most legendary acts such as De La Soul, Dr. Dre., and Kendrick Lamar. The Parliament-Funkadelic founder recently did a Reddit AMA and said that he loves trap music. When asked about what he's listening to right now, Clinton stated, "Flying Lotus, Cardi B, Kendrick Lamar, JAY-Z's new album, Tra'Zae, and all that shit coming out of Atlanta. All that trap shit. I'm trapped in it."
A commenter also asked whom he'd like to work with from today's crop of hip-hop artists, to which Clinton quickly answered, "I'd like to work with Cardi B. She's got the funk."
