After making a slandorous statement towards the gay community, professional boxer Manny Pacquiao seems to have ruined his relationship with the leading athletic and sneaker brand Nike. Pacquiao issued a statement to the public during an interview where he comments on gay marriage saying same sex relationships are "worse than animals."

According to sources, the Filipino boxer may have had plans to further his career as a politician by running for President, proceeding his boxing retirement. Nike, who's an advocate of marriage equality, may no longer have an amicable relationship with their boxing ambassador. The brand responded with an official statement calling Manny's condescending remarks "abhorrent." "Nike strongly opposes discrimination of any kind and has a long history of supporting and standing up for the rights of the LGBT community."

The removal of all the athlete's items from their online webstore has already taken place. Pacquiao has since apologized for his malicious opinions.
