That's a lot of pancakes. The NY Daily is reporting that two self-proclaimed heirs of American food icon Aunt Jemima are taking the Quaker Oats Company to court to the tune of $2 billion.

The great grandsons of Anna Short Harrington, who became "Aunt Jemima" way back in 1933, claim that a long-forgotten agreement between their ancestor and the pancake company which would eventually be purchased by Quaker Oats, entitles them to wages for every time her likeness has been used.

The suit was filed in a Chicago court, and additionally request a share of future earnings.

"Aunt Jemima has become known as one of the most exploited and abused women in American history," D. W. Hunter, one of the suitors, told the Kentucky Courier Journal.

In a statement, Quaker Oats maintains that the Aunt Jemima intellectual property is simply a fictitious symbolism of caring, warmth, hospitality and comfort.
