Tyler Perry is being sued by a man named William James from Gary, Ind., who claims that Perry stole his idea for the film "Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor," which has been universally panned by film critics.  In the lawsuit, James compares the similarities of the plot from "Temptation" to his 2009 screenplay, "Lovers Kill," in which both revolve around the wife of a married couple ruining the marriage after being tempted to cheat with another man.

One major issue with his lawsuit, however, is that James has no official knowledge of whether or not Tyler Perry ever saw his screenplay.  He explained that he gave a copy of his "Lovers Kill" to an Oprah Winfrey "associate," with hopes that it would eventually reach Tyler Perry.  Neither Tyler Perry or Lionsgate, who is also involved in the lawsuit, have commented on the legal situation against them just yet.

The movie has earned $49 million so far in box office sales.
