Oklahoma's Kevin Durant gave up the NBA scoring title to Carmelo Anthony on Instagram Wednesday morning with a screenshot of his iPhone Notes.

Durant posted to his Instagram account under the name @sniperjones35, "SITTING OUT TONIGHT'S GAME, if you disappointed I didn't try to go for the scoring title, oh well!!"

This will be Carmelo's first scoring title of his career, as Durant has won the past three seasons. Durant would've needed 70 points to win the title, which isn't unheard of, as David Thompson went for 73 points in the final game of the season in 1978.
