Waka Flocka Flame is best known for his high energy trap music, but the Brick Squad Monopoly rapper is headed down a different lane for his next album.
Flocka told HipHopDX in a recent interview that he's planning an EDM-Rap album.
"The King of Rap EDM is me," said Flocka. "I've been there. Punk rap, that's EDM. People didn't understand what I was saying, now they do. I see a lot of my students, I'm like the principle, I'm here to talk."
HipHopDX asked him, "Are you going to do an EDM-based album then?"
Waka replied, "Yes. Yes, it's already in the motion. Flosstradamus, Diplo, Skrillex. Some underground people, too. I want to create a name. I've been doing it in hip hop so long.
