Former Def Jam rap artist Ja Rule has been incarcerated for the past year and a half on a gun charge, but some good news is on the horizon for the Queens native, as reports say he is scheduled for release in the coming months. According to Ja's site RuleYork, he is set to be a free man in February of 2013.

"Ja Rule's prison sentence is coming to an end. The sentence began on June 7th 2011. During that time he has gained his high school diploma and released his 7th studio album Pain is love 2 (PIL2) with the help of long time producer 7 Aurelius. He is expected to be released on 02/21/2013," said a statement on the site.
