Former G-Unit rapper Young Buck began his 18-month prison sentence back in August, and after only a few months of incarceration the Nashville native is reportedly asking to have the sentence dismissed by a federal court. Back in 2010, Buck was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm as a felon. However, Young Buck contends that he wasn't a felon as a previous conviction was removed from his record, New Channel 5 reports.
"Nashville rapper Young Buck wants a federal court to toss out his prison sentence. The rapper, whose real name is David Brown, is currently in a Mississippi prison after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. However, he claims the 18-month prison term handed to him is a 'complete miscarriage of justice.' Brown claims he couldn't have been a felon in possession of a firearm, since a previous felony conviction was expunged from his record. Brown was also involved in a bankruptcy case that led to the IRS auction of thousands of dollars' worth of his belongings earlier this year."
This is a much different attitude from Young Buck who, just last month, seemed in good spirits despite his situation.
"Man, s*** man, let everybody know that I'm good. I'm 100. I'm well taken care of. I'm straight, under the circumstances I'm in. This is prison, you know what I'm saying? At the end of the day, I'm making the best out of prison."
