At the beginning of the month, it was reported that Max B's prison sentence was upheld and that the he would be behind bars until his parole hearing in the year 2042. He was ordered to serve a 75-year prison sentence for planning a robbery that resulted in a murder. But despite the ruling being upheld, the Harlem rapper says he plans to continue fighting for a new trial.
"We want them to look at this case closer. We want a new trial," Max B explained. "I didn't have a fair trial. My constitution was violated. I mean you know, I'm still fighting though. I'm about to go on post-conviction. Everything is alright," he told Shade 45's Statik Selektah.
Max B, along with the help of his family, created what they call the "Pardon the Wave" petition. It's purpose is to bring awareness to Max's situation and hopefully get him a new trial.
