The launch of your own sneaker seems like hardly the place to be shedding sorrowful tears, but as D-Rose took the mic to talk about his new shoe with Adidas, the pain of his city proved too much. Rose sat with his head bowed down as he referred to the recent violence plaguing his Englewood section of southside Chicago.

"It's truly a blessing with all the stuff going on in the city," Rose said. "A kid from Englewood's got something positive going on."

As one of the most skilled and most likable players in the league, D-Rose can count on his sneaker doing well. To the Chicago point god though, he feels he's blessed to even be in the room.
