In recent months, it's been well noted that the status of G-Unit has been somewhat rocky. Last month, 50 Cent spoke about Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks and stated that they "need to get themselves together". It was reported earlier in the week that Yayo may have fired a subliminal shot at the G-Unit general on Twitter when he tweeted "Who started G-Unit, me that's who."

That led many to believe there was some friction between the two long time rap partners. But Yayo took it upon himself to let everyone know that he wasn't dissing 50 in any way, shape, or form.

He tweeted: "Why would I blow shots at 50 the media want to see Gunit fail so bad we won to much in front of n****s everybody running with our format."

That type of response may have been prompted by a 50 Cent statement which read "I did so much for them that they don't have a continuous work ethic", 50 said of Banks and Yayo. And while he did point out that both artists currently have mixtapes out. 50 was confused as to why there were no videos to go with any of the tracks.

"They got both of those tapes out there, but did you see any visuals? Anything?. There's certain things that the new guy is doing to create momentum or energy. They just sit there and wait. When someone works for you, you have the habit of dealing with things by not dealing with them. You may get in the regimen of coming over and doing it for them.

Dropping mixtapes...that was my '02 strategy," he added. "That's 2002 marketing. That's old. You did nothing if you did that. If you're going to just wing it and drop a mixtape...pick the highlights that people like most and shoot 'em. Go shoot the video."
