The Roots are mostly known for their music. There is a chance that some people will associate ?uestlove's routine with Jimmy Fallon, but most think Roots, think music.
Which makes us happy then to report a new initiative Black Thought is helming. The Roots are supporting the ongoing fight against childhood obesity through their GrassROOTS Foundation, hosting the 'Let's move It Philly!' charity concert.
The band's home-base, Philadelphia, will be the first stop in the 10-city tour, specifically battling the pediatric disease in the black community.
We couldn't be happier or more proud of this work. We hope other groups will follow, showing passion for a cause they love.
