--------

Yelawolf discussed the challenges that came with being the first White rapper signed to Eminem’s Shady Records. He described feeling overwhelmed by the influx of people looking to work with him, citing too many uninvited ideas that disrupted his creative process. Yelawolf likened the situation to the popular movie "Wayne’s World," wherein a famous underground show is taken over by a big corporation, leading to the loss of its original charm. Yelawolf felt the pressure of being a new artist and admitted to going along with others’ ideas even if they were not reflective of his musical vision. He did, however, acknowledge some of the songs on his first album, 'Radioactive,' were critically acclaimed. His second album allowed Yelawolf greater creative control, leading to bigger festivals and changing his career for the better.
