I respect George Lucas for stepping up and taking this movie when I know any other director wouldn't even touched it. It's a shame that Hollywood want support and distribute an all-black movie, but if a director was or wanted to make a movie about George Washington or Abraham Lincoln, they'd jump on that. Hollywood has no problem with Black movies that portray us as Violent, Uneducated, Drug Dealing, Car Stealing, Bank Robbing, Drug Abusing, Alcoholic, Prostituting, Baby Daddy, Baby Mama, Unemployed, Welfare Collecting, Loud Talking, Shucking & Jiving, Locked In Prison, Men Who Wear Dresses... But show a strong Black Man or Woman as a hero, Suddenly there's a problem. This is why they don't teach Black History in schools. They want people to think Blacks are useless when in fact lots of the things they say White people invented was really invented by a Black Person. If the Schools taught about the achievements of Black People. White people wouldn't feel so superior.... Black People go see & support this movie.

We do it to ourselves half the time also,Pay attention to the movies we put out in general.Medea nothing wrong with the movies if that's what you wanna see but Perry could of put out a project like this instead we have the creator of Star Wars putting out the work again nothing wrong with that.We have to say to ourselves how many more fake ass wannabe hood Scarface movies have to be made about the Drugs and violence in the Hood enough already one thing we should keep in mind is the only thing different about these movies is the accents from the region the characters come from be it Southern,Newyork,Cali so on and so forth take your pick the stories are still the same.I sell drugs,I got a team,We get paid,Somebody dies I go to jail same over and over again.Black Hollywood has the money and means to change things so movies like redtails can be made and distributed without the need of big studios.In no way am I saying the hood movie can't be made but the cats on the grind with these record companies it would be a much better return on your dollar if you put it behind projects like this instead of hood garbage that's the same story in every hood no matter where you from.
