Fans will be happy to know the battle between Drake and Murda Mook isn't far from reality. During Smack-URL's "Night of Main Events 5," Drizzy made a special appearance as battles between Hollow Da Don vs. Charlie Clips,Tsu Surf vs. Tay Roc, and more were going on. When the show's MC asked the "Know Yourself" rapper about his much delayed battle with Mook, the rapper said, "You gotta beat Surf first before you get to me."
The two were in talks to battle in February. During an interview with the Breakfast Club, Mook explained that both men were ready to battle, but Drake's manager decided against it due to the rapper's big market sponsorships. Drake elaborated on the delay during a press conference at Blackout 5.
"I would love to get into the scene, but I have obligations [and] I might say something, or somebody might say something about me, which makes it tough when I have, like, corporate stuff going on," he said. " It's a tough thing, but I think one day I might do it. I don't know if Mook deserves it but I definitely have a folder full of bars in my phone for somebody one day, so we'll figure it out."
