Daz Dilinger and Nate Dogg were extremely close. The two had had both signed to Death Row Records back in the early '90s and worked on Dr. Dre's classic album, "The Chronic," together. When it came to his untimely passing at the age of 41, Daz remembers turning his life around after visiting Nate Dogg before he died after suffering from two strokes. "Man, that hurt me," he remembered. Daz claimed that after seeing his friend in that state it made him get himself together health-wise.

The two Death Row entertainers were known to be "the most gangster of the crew" back in their prime, something Daz holds dear to him 'til this day. "We put it down in the crew," Daz stated. "So you know when it come to whippin' a*s, it's either Nate Dogg or Daz."

In this interview with VladTV Daz Dilinger also remembered growing up with his cousin/labelmate Snoop Dogg. "Wouldn't nobody watch us 'cause we was so bad" remembered Daz, who would go to Snoop's house every day as a child. When it comes to Snoop's longevity in the game, Daz stated that "everybody know who Snoop Dogg is. We done been to places you wouldn't believe and they [ask if that's] 'Snoop Dogg?'", he says with a foreign accent.
