Famed vixen Karrine Steffans has penned a slew of books over the years and has officially rebranded herself due to her success as an author, selling over a million copies of her first book, "Confessions Of A Video Vixen," worldwide. In this exclusive clip, Karrine speaks on breaking into mainstream media, and how guest-speaking on one of the biggest talk shows in the world provided a huge boost to her career.

Back in April 2006 Karrine Steffans was invited to appear as a guest on Oprah Winfrey's famed talk show to discuss the objectification of women, which she feels was a pivotal moment in her writing career. So much in fact, that when Geraldo Rivera asked her to speak on his show "Geraldo at Large," she declined, expressing to him that "We just did Oprah -- you should've called us like, two weeks ago...After Oprah you don't do Geraldo."

Before appearing on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Steffans was already flourishing in the urban market but felt she wasn't being taken seriously internationally. Karrine felt that mainstream corporations weren't taking her seriously, asking themselves, "What is this Black girl and her story with all these black people?" Nine months after "Confessions" was released and she talked with Oprah, however, Karrine says she was sought after worldwide, as Oprah Winfrey's show "was the pinnacle."
